Club Events
Magnolia State Volkssport Club
Periodically the club sponsors scheduled events throughout the region. These provide opportunities for members to walk together and for people who are interested in volkssporting to learn more from experienced walkers.
There are three basic types of events:
Walks, bikes, or swims on weekends and evenings which are hosted by the local clubs with staffed registration and checkpoints. You register at the start and then walk your own pace on marked or mapped routes.
Guided walks: A guide leads the group along the route. These usually have a single start time.
Year-round events: Self-guided walks, bikes, swims available most every day. Register at the registration box, take a map and guide yourself on the route.

Carpooling is available from Ocean Springs. We meet at the park and ride lot near the Denny’s just south of I-10 on Highway 609 (Washington Avenue). Call Katy Nims (678-409-2297) or Don Moore (228-896-7879) if you’re interested in carpooling to the start point.
Year Round Events (YRE's)
Year round events (YRE's) are mapped routes that can be walked at any time during the year, subject to some seasonal or holiday constraints. For 2009 the MSVC sponsors YRE's in the following locations:

CLUB MEETINGS
Join us for our quarterly meetings at the Ocean Springs Library (6 pm, 525 Dewey Avenue, Ocean Springs, Mississippi). Our next meeting will be Thursday, October 15, 2009.
