Magnolia State Volkssport Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the enjoyment of Volkssporting in the Gulf region. We provide members and non-members with an opportunity to enjoy walks in scenic areas of Ocean Springs and Jackson, Mississippi as well as Mobile, Alabama. We are associated with the American Volkssport Association (http://www.ava.org)
Volksmarches are organized hikes, in which the participant can chose his/her own pace, follow a map and/or trail markings and earn AVA/IVV credit.
Walking is both a healthful and fun family activity. Why walk a dreary school track when you can enjoy beautiful scenery and interesting neighborhoods?
Membership is not required to participate in any of the walks, but encouraged to help defray the cost of maintaining the routes.

Fall is a perfect time to get out and walk. Come visit us at these upcoming events:
Nov. 5-6 - Peter Anderson Festival
Meet us at our table on Washington (next to St. Alphonsus schoolgrounds) and sign up for our mailing list, pick up a flyer or even do a 5K/10K while enjoying the festival
Nov 19 - Healthy Parks, Healthy People
Gulf Islands National Seashore, 10am to 2pm
Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy all the activities planned for families. Stop by our table to pick up a map for a short "Kids Nature Hunt"
Dec 3 - Biloxi Christmas on the Water Walk
Meet at 2pm at the shoefly on the Biloxi Town Green for this traditional 5K/10K club walk and stay to enjoy the festivities as Biloxi kicks off the Christmas season.
Jan 1 - Resolution Walk -
Meet at Ft. Maurepas pavilion along the back bay in Ocean Springs
Join us at 9 for this new annual club walk and get your New Year off on the right foot!
